What is Uddiyana Bandha? Ever heard it cued in class and just not exactly sure what it is/how to do it? Already familiar with it but want to dig a little deeper?This tutorial is for you. Uddiyana Bandha translates to "upward flying lock." It is a mock inhalation performed by pausing at the bottom of an exhalation and drawing the abdominals in while the ribs flare out wide. Give it a go - it might feel strange or confusing for a while, but overtime you will become skilled with this exercise... a great way to stretch the diaphragm and intercostal muscles and even improve digestion!
