The Hip and the Shoulder are both Ball and Socket Joints. They also form the four corners of the torso. When the outer shoulders and the outer hips are used efficiently, the alignment of the rest of the trunk starts to fall into place. To that end, this class will teach you how to get your balls more tightly inserted into their sockets.
Class moves slow and is meant to tune up the way you use your arms and legs. After a very long warm up, we move through some common standing poses with a new understanding of alignment. Poses explored towards the end of class include ardha chandrasana (half moon, a standing balance) and bhradvajasana one (a seated twist).
Grab two blocks for class and make sure you have a blanket if you like to use one to pad your knees. Let me know if you have any questions!

A fun and strong flow with some great hamstring work that connects legs to handstands. Even if handstand is not in your practice, the work leading up to it is still pretty great.
