A year spent mostly inside due to COVID-19 has created some extra tension in our hips (all that sitting) and our shoulders (all those Zoom calls). This short class is meant to help you chisel out some of that thickness. It prepares you to do some backbends, but we end in a sweet yin pose rather than going for something big and exciting. You can, of course, spend a few extra minutes backbending on your own after we open up the major muscles that tend to restrict spinal extension.
