Kevin: Rolling on the Floor; Sleeping with Vishnu (62 Minutes)
Get It: 45-65 min

1h 2m
This is a fun vinyasa sequence that breaks the mold a bit; there are no sun salutations, no "linking vinyasas" and absolutely zero chaturanga pushups. Expect to spend most of the early portion of class rolling around on the floor stretching and strengthening your hip and side body musculature. A series of standing poses follows before we put it all together and sneak back to the ground for one of my favorite poses: anantasana, often called Sleeping Vishnu in English.
If you have major restrictions in the hip, knee or ankle, you might hate this -- some of the movement patterns we explore in class may not be appropriate for you :(
I demonstrate class using two blocks and two blankets, but the blankets are optional and the blocks are primarily used for counterposes at the end of class. Hope you love this sequence as much as I do.
